Definition:
Under the direction of the Dispatch Supervisor, a Dispatcher will be responsible for the deployment and tracking and movement of units on an ongoing basis throughout the day per local System Status Management Plan. They will broadcast orders to crews regarding runs, emergencies and general information. 
 
Dispatchers will operate radio, telephone, or computer equipment relay information or orders to proper individuals or members of management. 
 
In addition, the dispatcher, under Emergency Medical Dispatch protocol, will be required to take caller information, determine the nature of the run request, dispatch runs (emergent and non-emergent) to the crews in an appropriate and timely manner, record pertinent information and process insurance information for approval and authorization through online computer databases, faxes and emails.

The IT Support Engineer is a key member of the IT team and will be primarily responsible for supporting the end user technology environment along with EMS Dispatch Centers and Mobile Ambulance Fleet. This is a customer facing role providing the first line of support for the organization and highly visible.  Responsibilities include maintenance and management of company desktops, notebooks, mobile devices, printers, servers, network devices and other office equipment and related software. In addition, thorough experience configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting desktop and laptops computers, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices is necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient operations, including maintenance and administration, of Windows-based, and Apple, Android computer systems and servers.

  • Responsible for systems applications and analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.

LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION

The Priority Ambulance family of companies values EMS leadership and recognizes that commitment through the Priority Ambulance Leadership Foundation. The Foundation has developed a unique and distinctive path for career advancement to promising EMS leaders of the future. The year-long EMS Leadership of Tomorrow program offers educational and mentoring opportunities to qualified professionals in and outside of the EMS industry. Hands-on coursework is taught during weeklong sessions hosted quarterly at various locations throughout the country.
